Your Responsibilities

GKN is in an expansion phase where they are investing in new equipment and continuously improving the department. As a heat operator, you will work with a wide variety of products, both for internal programs and external customers. Collaboration is key in the department – they help each other, ensure the work flows smoothly, and have fun together! As a heat operator, you will:

  • Operate and monitor their furnaces (currently, they have 6).
  • Contribute to the development of the department and their processes.
  • Plan and stay one step ahead to create a smooth workflow.
  • Work meticulously and methodically to ensure high quality.

The company currently operates on a 4-shift schedule but plans to expand to a 5-shift schedule.

Your Profile

To be considered for the position, we want you to:

  • Have a technical education in workshop technology or equivalent experience.
  • Speak and write fluent Swedish.
  • Enjoy working in smaller teams and shifts of two people.
  • Like to work in a shift arrangement where production runs around the clock.

GKN Aerospace Sweden is part of GKN Aerospace, which manufactures engine components, aircraft structures, cabin windows, wiring, and much more for many of the world's aircraft. The companies in the Aerospace division that work with parts for aircraft engines form Engines together, and at the facility in Trollhättan, advanced parts for engines for aircraft and space rockets are developed and manufactured. They also work with engine maintenance.

GKN Aerospace has production facilities in Trollhättan, Kongsberg (Norway), Mexico, and the USA. They also have an engineering office in Bangalore, India, and offices in Stockholm (Public Affairs) and Gothenburg. The headquarters for Engines is located in Trollhättan.
